Why the Xbox One X is the best platform

Now is a great time to be a gamer. The AAA developers are mostly coming around and releasing solid experiences with enough content to justify the price, the push for loot boxes in everything is waning in popularity & viability, and indie developers have been given more access to engine tools and publishing platforms than arguably any time prior. There’s something for everyone right now.

Speaking of platforms, there are a number of them out there. Everyone has their own opinion on which platform is the best, but there is only one answer. The Xbox One X is the best platform right now. Anyone telling you otherwise isn’t giving you their opinion, they’re just wrong.

But why? Let’s dive in.

If you want to have the best console gaming experience currently available, then the XB1X is the only option. It’s the most powerful console on the market, and the margin isn’t even close. We could talk about exclusives for a while, and the Xbox One X has them in Halo, Gears of War, Forza, Forza Horizon, etc. But let’s talk about games you can play on multiple consoles for a bit because exclusives, while great, make up a small percentage of any gamer’s library. Do you want to play the latest Madden? Grand Theft Auto? Red Dead Redemption? Sekiro? Mortal Kombat? Devil May Cry? The Division? Metro? Well, you’re going to get the best console experience on the Xbox One X. The games will look sharper, the games will run better, and in turn, they will feel better to play. If you’re going to play games that can be played on multiple platforms, you might as well play them on the best one available. And we don’t have to stop with AAA games, the indie scene is booming on Xbox as well. Dead Cells? Cuphead? Hyper Light Drifter? Hellblade? Enter the Gungeon? The Witness? They’re all waiting for you.

Now, these days, game consoles aren’t just about the games. They’re about the entire living room experience. Well, the XB1X is unmatched on this. In addition to the games, you’ve got nearly every streaming app on the market available to you on top of a built-in 4K Blu-ray drive. If you have a 4K TV and aren’t watching 4K Blu-ray movies, you aren’t watching movies and XB1 is the only console giving you this experience on top of the stellar gaming selection. There’s really no other option. If you call yourself a gamer, you should already have an XB1. And if not, you should be getting one as soon as you’re done reading this, which is right abooooout, now. Go.
