It’s been an eventful few days for gaming news. This isn’t a surprise as E3 usually takes place around this time. Game companies are hoping to entice holiday shoppers and longtime fans with some big reveals. Let’s go over a few of these.

The leak of Crash 4 we reported on is now confirmed. The trailer sports a song burned into the minds of every 90s kid. Crash is more stylized vs his previous incarnation in the insane trilogy which was more faithful to his original design. It appears you can play as Crash, Coco, and Cortex. Familiar faces appear as well as elemental masks that give me Wrath of Cortex vibes. A funny exchange at the end denounces all games after Crash 3 which implies this is a fresh start for the franchise. While I have my issues with the Spyro Reignited Trilogy, Toys for Bob still did an amazing job on the game. I have high hopes that they’ll deliver and equally unforgettable experience here.

The latest Smash Character was revealed. Unsurprisingly, due to Arms being given for free for a limited time to Nintendo Online subscribers, it’s a character from Arms. Arms is essentially a boxing game where the characters have spring arms that can stretch out. What was a surprise was that Min Min was taking up the mantle. She starts off the second round of the Fighter Pass DLC on June 29. She also brings with her a new stage and 18 musical tracks from Arms.

Today, the world was introduced to Pokémon Unite. Pokémon Unite is basically a MOBA. It both looks and controls similarly to League of Legends. You pick a Pokémon character, grow it over the match by defeating smaller enemies, and take points by entering the opponent’s side of the arena. Types have no advantages or disadvantages against each other. Attacks can be both long and short range. The game was menacingly touted as “free to start” so no $60 price tag here. Not at first. This game will be on both the switch and mobile devices. While it looks cute and fun for kids and MOBA fans, I know I’m not the only one who was met with immense disappointment. After teasing us with a big game announcement for a week, fans had hoped for something else. Something more diamond or pearl…
