An hour ago, A24 made a very sudden announcement, one I’m sure half the internet will be excited to hear. It’s official, Hazbin Hotel is coming to your TV.

Hazbin Hotel is notable for being a completely independently animated pilot. The pilot took the world by storm with a cast of colorful sinners—I mean characters as well as several fun songs. The story is about Charlie who wishes to run a hotel for rehabilitating demons. Conniving underworld threat Alistair the radio demon decides to support her dream out of sheer boredom (potentially for reasons we don’t yet know about).

The pilot was created by Vivziepop as well as a team of animators, voice actors, and more. Vivziepop was previously (before Hazbin Hotel took over) best known for that animated short featuring a blue wolf woman singing Kesha Rose’s Die Young. She has done a lot of animations that are all bouncy and colorful with fun designs. Another pilot created by her, Helluva Boss, takes place in the same universe as Hazbin Hotel and features industry professional voice actor Richard Horvitz (Invader Zim’s Zim and Billy and Mandy’s Billy). It waits to be seen if this show will be picked up as well.

A24 is such an interesting studio to pick this series up. They are usually known for heartfelt movies and psychological movies such as Midsommar (an amazing movie go see it) and Eighth Grade (also amazing, but way too real). Their upcoming movie will be a new take on the tale of the Green Knight from medieval lore.

So what do you think? Let us know in the comments below. Do you like Hazbin Hotel? How do you think the show will go? Will the first animated internet pilot being picked up lead to more internet works being similarly picked up?
