by Tuesday PopeAnother day, another Nintendo mini direct. Nintendo will be doing more mini directs like this throughout the year. Let’s go over the games announced today! Note: all dates are tentative as CV19 is still causing delays. We will again be doing this rapid fire style!
Kingdom Hearts Melody of Memory is coming to the Switch. This is a rhythm game with Kingdom Hearts characters and the legendary soundtrack. There’s online multiplayer modes and an 8 player mode exclusive to the switch. Of course there’s content here that continues the story. Wouldn’t be Kingdom Hearts game without story in an unnecessary side game. I’m a sucker for the franchise so I’ll be reliving all these legendary scenes when the game drops on November 13.
Fuser by Harmonix is another music based game published by NCSoft. Make sweet remixes of trending chart favorites. There’s now multiplayer where you can throw emoji at your friends mixes like it’s a Twitter live. The switch version will release this fall and a few new tracks will drop as well at the same time.
Bandai’s popular Taiko No Tatsujin Japanese drum bearing rhythm arcade game has a new release for the switch. Two games are being combined in this one tiny cartridge. And now with more Pokémon. 250 monsters can be recruited to be your ally. Over 130 songs will be making their way to you this Winter 2020.
World of Tanks Blitz is coming to switch with 7v7 online play. You can collect more playable tanks than ever before and also just have fun on the big screen. This free to play game launches later today.
Big Rumble Boxing: Creed Champions is a boxing game. There’s a story mode, there’s a training mode, there’s free play mode, local multiplayer, I mean what more could you want? If you said Rocky Balboa, Adonis Creed, and an entire roster of boxing legends in free play mode, well today is your day. Available spring 2021.
Three RPGs from Square Enix make their way in one collection; Final Fantasy Legend, Final Fantasy Legend II, and Final Fantasy Legend III . It’s the 30th anniversary of this gameboy series and an extra music track is added for the occasion as well as several quality of life upgrades such as speeding up the game and actions. Collection of SaGa will be available December 15.
Just Dance 2021 for the first time won’t be coming out for the wii. A moment of silence for the true end of a great console full of shovel ware. There weren’t enough shovels to keep digging away from death forever. Anyway you know what this game is and it’s coming out November 12.
The best announcement is Puyo Puyo Tetris 2. The first one is one of my most played Switch games. The characters are all really silly, it’s a way for me to play endless computer vs Tetris on the plane, and the two games integrate really well. This entry promises more of the first, adds items, and has a new story mode. Side note: before the con closures, many ran Puyo Puyo Tetris tournaments alongside their fighting games so this is a good chance to practice while everything is closed. I can’t wait to pick this up on December 8th.
Next up is a reel of some deluxe editions and DLC titles: Minecraft Dungeons Creeping Winter DLC, Juno Force Deluxe Edition, Captain Tsubasa: Rose of New Champions, and a reminder that Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles will be out soon.
