Dive in to More Animal Crossing Content

Today Nintendo released a small trailer with some upcoming updates for the popular Animal Crossing New Horizons. Slated for a July 3rd release, this free update expands the game like never before!

First the oceans are calling as you can now jump in and swim around. It’s unclear how far away from the island you can swim, but there’s still plenty to explore. You can also dive down to find different sea creatures like sea stars, anemones, and more. These creatures can be donated to Blathers and add a nice touch to the current museum tanks.

While swimming you may encounter Pascal. He’s a familiar face to the series and is very interested in the creatures you find while diving. Along the shores you may also encounter Gulliver in pirate attire. No information on what he could possibly give you, but it’ll be fun to find out!

This also adds a whole new lineup of craftable items. The mermaid themed line will introduce a beautiful summer aesthetic to your home. Hope you’ve paid off your loan to Nook to make room for all these changes! The trailer ended with a promise for more content in August with another summer update. Exciting things are on the (new) horizon. Let us know what you’re most excited about!
