Everyone loved the Crash Bandicoot remastered trilogy. It was a great return to form, colorful, vibrant, and nostalgia done right. While the classics with their primitive graphics will always have a place in our hearts, these games were a great way to bring Crash to a demographic that had never experienced the frustrating and rewarding platforming from the orange marsupial.
Soon after, we got an amazing (and then scummy) remake of Crash Team Racing. I won’t go into the whole micro transaction thing. The game is still fun and still getting updates and was jam packed with content from Nitro Fueled as well. So the question always was, what’s next? Will there be an original Crash game? Will there be something new and not a remake? We may have gotten that answer.

A Taiwanese rating board leaked the game not long ago. There’s images for both the PS4 and XB1 versions. It also seems the games will be enhanced for the next generation as well. Interestingly enough, Toys for Bob, the makers of the Spyro reignited trilogy, are credited on the box. What could this mean?
While a new Crash game was indeed teased, we had no further clarification until this leak. Video game analyst Daniel Ahmed weighs in on Twitter.

While I’m almost certain this is legit and we will be getting a new Crash game finally, until things are officially revealed, and they aren’t at time of writing, we must be skeptical. We’ll find out soon what’s real or not and I couldn’t be more excited if this turns out to be fact.
